Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to support the Dedrone Finance team in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue and will perform various tasks as part of the Month-end close process, playing a vital role in stabilizing the function and supporting global consolidation and financial reporting.

Location: Remote (Requires travel to Kassel, Germany, 1 week per month)

Reports To: Financial Controller, EMEA

Key Responsibilities:

Receivables/Payables:

• Collaborate with sales and international teams on customer contracts, including multiple deliverables
• Generate and post accounts receivable invoices following revenue recognition standards (ASC606/IFRS 15)
• Coordinate credit and debit transactions, including invoices and VAT regulations
• Process payments and execute payment runs
• Manage open items, reconcile accounts, and clarify discrepancies
• Review aging reports, conduct dunning procedures, and collaborate with collection agencies
• Support intercompany accounting and settlement processes

Accounting:

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities following US GAAP and HGB
• Support standard cost accounting, analyze variances
• Work cross-functionally with sales, corporate accounting, and tax teams
• Serve as a contact for local finance, tax auditors, and advisors

Processes & Controls:

• Participate in or lead projects to optimize accounting activities and internal controls (SOX)
• Perform month-end controls, reconcile balances, and document journal entries
• Develop expertise in ERP systems (NetSuite/Salesforce)

Who You Are:

• Degree in Business Administration or related finance field
• At least 5 years experience in receivables/payables and financial statement preparation
• Experience with international revenue recognition and multi-deliverable contracts
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages advantageous
• Skilled in conflict resolution and working in dynamic, cross-functional teams
• Experience with internal controls and process improvements
