Job Summary:

We seek a highly motivated professional to support the Dedrone Finance team in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue and will perform various tasks as part of the Month-end close process, playing a key role in stabilizing the function and supporting global consolidation and financial reporting.

Location: Remote (Must be willing to travel to Kassel once a month)

Reports To: Financial Controller, EMEA

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger and financial statement closing activities according to US GAAP and HGB.
• Support standard cost accounting, including variance analysis on materials, labor, and overheads.
• Coordinate and support income tax returns, VAT filings, and transfer pricing in line with global policies.
• Conduct actual vs. budget analysis, prepare flux and month-end commentary, cash planning, and manage working capital.
• Generate and post accounts receivable invoices following revenue recognition standards (ASC606/IFRS 15).
• Collaborate with international teams such as sales, corporate accounting, and tax.
• Support intercompany accounting and settlement processes.
• Serve as the main contact for tax auditors, advisors, and internal/external auditors.

Projects and Controls:

• Support post-merger integration of Axon subsidiaries, harmonize ERP systems, charts of accounts, processes, and tools.
• Participate in or lead projects to optimize accounting activities and implement internal controls (SOX).
• Perform and document month-end controls, including balance sheet reconciliations and manual journal entries.
• Develop expertise in ERP (NetSuite/Salesforce) related accounting topics.

Who You Are:

• Completed studies in Business Administration or a related finance field.
• At least 5 years of experience in preparing financial statements according to US GAAP and HGB.
• Experience with post-merger integration, entity restructuring, and ERP projects (Microsoft D365, NetSuite) is a plus.
• Familiar with international revenue recognition guidelines and complex contracts.
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are advantageous.
• Ability to handle conflicts and ambiguity constructively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
• Experience with internal controls and process improvements.
