Job Summary:

We seek a highly motivated professional to support the Dedrone Finance team in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue and will perform various tasks as part of the Month-end close process, playing a key role in stabilizing the function and supporting global consolidation and financial reporting.

Location: Remote (Requires travel to Kassel, Germany, once a month)

Reports To: Financial Controller, EMEA

Key Responsibilities:

Receivables/Payables:

• Collaborate with sales and international teams on customer contractual arrangements, including multiple deliverables
• Generate and post accounts receivable invoices following revenue recognition standards (ASC606/IFRS 15)
• Coordinate credit and debit transactions, including invoices and VAT regulations
• Process payments and execute payment runs
• Manage open items, reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers, and clarify discrepancies
• Review aging reports, conduct dunning procedures, and work with collection agencies
• Support intercompany accounting and settlement processes

Accounting:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in line with US GAAP and HGB
• Support standard cost accounting, including variance analysis
• Work cross-functionally with sales, corporate accounting, and tax teams
• Serve as a contact for local Finance Director, tax auditors, and advisors

Processes & Controls:

• Participate in or lead projects to optimize accounting activities and internal controls (SOX)
• Perform month-end controls, balance sheet reconciliations, and manual journal entries
• Develop expertise in ERP systems (NetSuite/Salesforce) related to accounting

Who You Are:

• Completed studies in Business Administration or relevant finance education
• At least 5 years of experience in receivables/payables and financial statement preparation
• Experience with multi-deliverable contracts and international revenue recognition
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus
• Capable of handling conflicts and ambiguity in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
• Experience with internal controls and process improvements
