Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to support the Dedrone Finance team in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue and will be required to perform a variety of tasks as part of the Month-end close process, playing a critical role in stabilizing the function while supporting the global consolidation and financial reporting process.

Remote (Requires Travel to Kassel, Germany 1 week per month)

Key Responsibilities:
Receivables/Payables:
  • Work closely with sales and international teams on contractual arrangements with customers, including multiple deliverables.
  • Generate and post accounts receivable invoices in accordance with revenue recognition under ASC606/IFRS 15.
  • Post and coordinate credit and debit transactions, especially incoming/outgoing invoices considering local VAT regulations.
  • Process and monitor incoming/outgoing payments, execute payment runs.
  • Manage open items including clarification of differences, and reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers.
  • Review aging analysis, conduct dunning procedures, and collaborate with collection agencies.
  • Support intercompany accounting and settlement processes according to global guidance.
Accounting:
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger and financial statement closing activities in accordance with US GAAP and HGB.
  • Assist with standard cost accounting, including analysis of variances such as material, labor, and overheads.
  • Collaborate with international teams, including sales, corporate accounting, and tax.
  • Serve as a functional contact for the local Finance Director, tax auditors, and advisors on relevant topics.
Processes & Controls:
  • Participate in or lead projects to optimize accounting activities and implement internal (SOX) controls.
  • Perform and document month-end close controls, including balance sheet reconciliation and manual journal entries.
  • Develop expertise in ERP (NetSuite/Salesforce) related accounting topics.
Who You Are:
  • Completed studies in Business Administration or a related finance professional education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivables, payables, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with contracts involving multiple deliverables and international revenue recognition standards.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
  • Constructive conflict resolution skills and ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in internal controls and process improvements.
