Overview

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for generating revenue and attaining their quota by selling the company's software and services to new customers in a designated territory or industry.

What you will be doing

  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan to meet/exceed established quota
  • Research and identify target customers
  • Prospect and develop business relationships with potential customers
  • Leverage knowledge and experience to educate potential customers on the benefits of the company’s solution
  • Record all customer account information in the CRM, including opportunities, commitments, significant conversations, customer visits or sales calls
  • Support sales solution engineers in the development and presentation of software demonstrations to potential customers
  • Provide information and support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
  • Ensure effective transition of new prospects/end-users from pre-sale process to implementation; remain actively involved in process
  • Develop and communicate accurate sales forecasting on a real-time basis
  • Develop and maintain pipeline
  • Evaluate new lead prospects generated by sales associates and qualify as genuine sales opportunities, as appropriate
  • Actively contribute ideas to improve sales process and overall growth and quality of the sales team
  • Continue to grow knowledge and awareness of best practices and market trends

What will make you successful

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in sales
  • Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others
  • Strong at gaining consensus across multiple departments and leadership levels
  • Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage work to completion with minimal oversight
  • Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
  • Up to 50% travel time required
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
