Job Description

This senior role involves working within a team to manage the relationship with one of the largest German corporate banking groups. The responsibilities include marketing, selling, and implementing the full range of Visa products and services. The role also entails managing client projects across the Visa organization, building strong partnerships with our bank, and providing customized solutions to jointly achieve business objectives.

What we expect of you, day to day:
  1. Define sound strategy for the Bank to drive joint success, develop clear propositions for the full range of Visa products and services, and create concrete Account Plans to prioritize and deliver.
  2. Use a collaborative approach to understand our clients' needs and business impact, recommending services and solutions to grow the business together.
  3. Build and oversee relationships across the entire client organization, including senior management and service providers. Identify key stakeholders and stay close to identify opportunities and challenges early on.
  4. Contribute to the annual business and account plans for the Bank to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  5. Collaborate and engage with colleagues across Visa (Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Consultants, etc.) to deliver solutions as one team and proactively develop client business.
  6. Negotiate, implement, and lead customer contract processes.
  7. Maintain and improve excellent knowledge of the payment technology space, especially Visa products and services.
  8. Drive business, engage with clients, work closely with peers and colleagues, and celebrate successes with energy and enthusiasm.

This position is hybrid; the expected days in the office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience, passion, curiosity, and knowledge of retail banking and/or the payment industry.
  • Strong credentials in a client-facing senior role, with a proven record of achieving commercial targets.
  • Experience in Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management, with a focus on forming and growing client partnerships.
  • Commercial understanding to identify opportunities and proactively propose solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven influencing, selling, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex business information effectively.
  • High integrity and strong business ethics.
  • Fluent in German and English, both verbal and written.
  • University Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
