Job summary

Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH in Hamburg seeks a Process Engineer CMP (m/f/d) to lead and optimize the CMP process module, define control strategies, and qualify CMP systems in our advanced semiconductor facility. The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in physics, chemistry, or electrical engineering, with strong CMP knowledge and semiconductor industry experience.

German and English fluency, teamwork, and independent analytical thinking are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in physics, chemistry, electronics or related field.
• Strong CMP knowledge and semiconductor industry experience.
• Fluency in German and English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independent management and optimization of the CMP process module.
• Definition and implementation of control strategies for the CMP process.
• Technological commissioning and qualification of CMP systems.
• Investigation and resolution of process issues on production equipment.
• Process monitoring using statistical methods (SPC).
• Training of production staff and project coordination for cost/quality improvements.

Job Location:

Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH is a development and manufacturing facility for power transistors (power MOSFETs) with over 550 employees. Vishay is investing in a new semiconductor chip factory in Itzehoe, thereby expanding its production capacity in the future.

What you will be doing:

• Independent management and optimization of the CMP process module
• Definition and implementation of control strategies for the process module
• Technological commissioning and qualification of CMP systems
• Investigation and resolution of process issues on production equipment
• Process monitoring using statistical methods (SPC)
• Analysis of defective products using physical measurement methods
• Development, characterization, and qualification of new processes
• Implementation of procedures into the production control system
• Management of projects aimed at cost reduction and improvements in quality and productivity
• Specification and qualification of new equipment and consumables
• Technical coordination of department-specific projects
• Training of production staff

What you will bring along:

• A successful master’s degree in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of CMP processes and experience in the semiconductor industry
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently, analytical thinking, and a commitment to quality
• Fluency in spoken and written German and English
