Job summary

Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH in Itzehoe, Germany is seeking an APC Engineer (m/w/d) for Dispatching & Scheduling to optimize equipment, line and lot planning and to monitor WIP, CT and OEE. You will configure APC rules (Flexciton, Final Phase Systems) and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and IT.

Join a growing facility building power transistors and contribute to expanding production capacity while developing standards and dashboards for transparency and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics or microsystems engineering or comparable qualification.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, equipment and monitoring processes.
• Basic knowledge of scheduling and dispatching methods; programming and scripting skills.
• Basic IT architecture understanding in semiconductor manufacturing (MES, SPC, R2R, automation).
• Ability to quickly grasp complex data, relationships, and visualizations.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and optimize equipment, line, and lot plans.
• Ensure stable WIP flows, short lead times, and efficient capacity utilization.
• Configure and develop APC dispatching rules (e.g., Flexciton, Final Phase Systems).
• Map complex manufacturing logic (prioritization, setup constraints, batching, rework, hot lot handling).
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks through data analysis and simulations.
• Maintain data quality in MES and related datasets (routing/recipes, calendars).
• Monitor production metrics (CT, OEE, utilization) and analyze deviations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, planning, and IT as central interface.
• Establish and develop standards, reports, and dashboards to increase transparency.

Job Location:

Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH is a development and manufacturing facility for power transistors (power MOSFETs) with over 550 employees. Vishay is investing in a new semiconductor chip factory in Itzehoe, thereby expanding its production capacity in the future.

• Creation, maintenance, and optimization of equipment, line, and lot plans
• Ensuring stable WIP flows, short lead times, and efficient capacity utilization
• Configuration, maintenance, and further development of dispatching rules in APC systems (e.g., Flexciton, Final Phase Systems)
• Mapping of complex manufacturing logic (e.g., prioritization, setup constraints, batching strategies, rework flows, hot lot handling, hold logic)
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks through data analysis, simulations, and what-if scenarios
• Ensuring data quality in MES, routing/recipe data, qualifications, and calendar data (e.g., PM, Engineering)
• Monitoring of relevant production metrics (e.g., CT, OEE, utilization) and analysis of deviations and disruptions
• Close collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, planning, and IT as a central interface function
• Establishment and further development of standards, reports, and dashboards to increase transparency and performance

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics, microsystems engineering (with a focus on microelectronics/semiconductor physics), or a comparable qualification
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, production equipment used, and relevant manufacturing and monitoring processes
• Basic knowledge of scheduling and dispatching methods, as well as programming and scripting skills
• Basic understanding of IT architecture in semiconductor manufacturing (e.g., MES, SPC, R2R, automation systems)
• Ability to quickly grasp complex data, relationships, and visualizations
