Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Roving Patrol in Bear, DE. You will protect clients across multiple sites, patrol assigned areas, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will respond to alarms, operate tablets/computers, and deliver exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates have at least basic access-control and badge experience, customer service history, alarm panel familiarity, and comfort with technology.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular patrols of hotel areas, entrances, parking, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
