Our Team

We're looking for a passionate Security Engineer to protect our digital ecosystem and support our mission of transforming retail marketing.

We are a midsize team of friendly open-source enthusiasts. Outside of coffee chats in Google Meet, we focus on building innovative platforms that serve millions of users. Our team provides the foundational security layers that power internet-scale applications.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Security Engineer who is curious, proactive, and passionate about cybersecurity. We're seeking someone who:

• Likes diving deep into security challenges
• Can independently manage bigger projects and align with management and stakeholders
• Has a systematic approach to identifying and mitigating security risks
• Enjoys collaborative problem-solving
• Demonstrates a strong ethical approach to digital protection
• Sees security as an enabler of innovation, not just a constraint

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability scans
• Assist in identifying and analyzing potential security threats
• Support the implementation of security policies and best practices
• Help investigate and respond to security incidents
• Manage security awareness and training initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall security posture
• Perform initial security configuration reviews
• Drive compliance and risk management efforts

What We Call Required:

• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership
• Solid foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles
• Strong communication skills (English is a must, German is a plus)
• Good understanding of:

  • Security monitoring and incident response
  • Common cybersecurity frameworks
  • AWS and cloud security services
  • IaC like terraform, cloudformation
• Passionate about security best practices
• A strong aversion to security vulnerabilities and manual security configurations
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
• Commitment to continuous improvement and security awareness
• Basic programming skills (Python, Ruby, Bash)

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA Security+, etc.)
