What you will do

Join our team and take on a key role in IT security!

• Analyze and monitor our systems to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and security gaps
• Implement and operate core IT and network security systems, including firewalls, security gateways, proxies, IPS, PKI, SIEM, and EDR/XDR
• Evaluate risks and the impact of potential threats on our IT infrastructure using tools such as SAST and DAST, and coordinate external penetration testing
• Roll out and manage established and new security software, ensuring effective monitoring and maintenance
• Design and implement security measures, strategies, and policies to protect our systems and networks
• Integrate security solutions into our CI/CD infrastructure and use cutting-edge tools to secure the entire development and operations pipeline
• Conduct internal security awareness training and actively promote a strong security culture across the organization

Your profile

• Completed degree or vocational training in IT, or equivalent professional experience
• Extensive experience in security engineering, including OWASP, network security, cloud security (AWS), SOC, and data loss prevention strategies
• Deep understanding of Linux, system and network architecture, operating systems, proxies, VPNs, WAN, cloud infrastructures, software containers, firewalls, encryption, malware, and common attack techniques
• Proficiency in one or more scripting or shell programming languages — Python is required
• Familiarity with standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and GDPR
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advisory skills, with enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary environment
• Professional fluency in German and English
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or OSCP are not required but definitely a plus
