Who we are looking for

State Street’s Securities Finance (SF) division offers three main products: Agency Lending, Prime Services, and Secured Financing (Repo). These products enable clients to generate income, facilitate short sales, or obtain financing through securities lending and borrowing. The Agency Lending business is well-established, with State Street recognized as an industry leader. The Prime Services and Repo products are newer and among the fastest-growing at State Street.

What you will be responsible for

As a Product Development Analyst, you will implement and develop product strategies, deliver new products, manage regulatory changes, and provide business solutions for industry evolution. This includes evaluating new product proposals, coordinating with various departments to define and plan necessary changes, and ensuring comprehensive documentation. Success is measured by the quality and quantity of new product implementations brought to market.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across the bank to design and implement solutions for complex business problems, supporting existing operations and expanding into new products.
  • Lead analysis for specific projects across teams.
  • Identify potential risks and develop solutions to mitigate them, protecting Securities Finance, State Street, and clients.
  • Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders from inception to completion.
  • Define project scope clearly, vet thoroughly, and review with relevant teams before product launches.
  • Assist in risk awareness and mitigation during due diligence for new and existing products.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support teams in understanding, selling, and deploying new products to clients.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in securities lending, repo, custody, or prime brokerage.
  • Strong understanding of Prime Brokerage and Synthetic Prime Brokerage products.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in MS PowerPoint and VISO.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Project management experience with a track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to summarize key concepts effectively.
  • Creative, curious, and willing to challenge the status quo.
