Job Description:

An established Japanese logistics company is recruiting for a Sea Freight Import & Export Clerk (Frankfurt) to work in their Frankfurt office.

Responsibilities include:

• Acceptance of customer orders and checking documents according to regulations and procedures.
• Processing sea freight transport from start to finish, mainly for import, also for export.
• Booking and reservations for sea freight FCL and LCL.
• Import customs clearance (e.g., ATLAS, AES), and export if required.
• Planning deliveries or collections.
• Preparing transport documents.
• Invoicing and cost calculations.
• Tracking shipments and handling deviations and incidents.
• Processing complaints and claims.
• Communicating with customers, customs, partners, carriers, and foreign companies in German and English.

Ideal candidate:

• Experience in forwarding and logistics services or similar.
• At least 3 years in sea freight import.
• Knowledge of customs clearance, especially import.
• Proficient in MS Office and Atlas.
• Responsible, independent, organized, flexible, and team-oriented.
• Good German and English skills; some understanding of Japanese culture is advantageous.
