The metabolic health working group has a vacancy as

Scientist - Tenure Track (m/f/d)

Start date: as soon as possible
Working hours: full-time
Limitation: 24 months with option for permanent employment
Remuneration: Pay group 14 (100%) TV-L

What to expect:

  • Supervision of existing and development of new projects in the field of metabolic physiology, immune defence and disease prevention as well as ontogenetic development in farm animals, preferably ruminants
  • Carrying out animal experiments on livestock
  • Data analysis, statistical evaluation
  • Independent acquisition of third-party funding in the field of metabolic and performance physiology or animal health
  • Supervision of doctoral students as well as Master and Bachelor students
  • Publication activities

What to bring:

  • Graduation and doctorate in the field of animal science/veterinary medicine/agricultural science
  • Habilitation or comparable performance in the field of animal science/veterinary medicine with a focus on animal physiology/nutritional physiology
  • Outstanding publication record in the last 5 years
  • Significant national and international networking in the field of farm animal physiology/metabolic physiology
