Job Description Summary

Job Description
Major accountabilities:
  1. Lead and execute defined work packages of medium/low complexity, or high complexity work packages with supervision, aiming at the development of stable, bioequivalent, robust, and cost-competitive dosage forms.
  2. Design and manage experiments/batches, provide related scientific documentation.
  3. Plan and execute experiments in accordance with quality risk management and Good Development Practice / GMP.
  4. Assist in the preparation of and review the technological parts of dossiers.
  5. Connect development data of different analytical origins of low/medium complexity, or high complexity with supervision, into meaningful conclusions.
  6. Actively support the development of hard-to-make pharmaceutical products.
  7. Communicate, address, and solve problems (e.g., deviations and unexpected results from experiments) within own and broader areas of responsibility, communicate effectively across organizational interfaces, lead the transfer of know-how or procedures to other departments or external contractors, including troubleshooting and on-site training, which may require travel.
  8. Report and present scientific/technical results internally and contribute to publications, presentations, and patents.
What you’ll bring to the role:
  1. BSc., MSc, or higher scientific degree with relevant professional experience or Apprenticeship in industry (or equivalent technical education) with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in industry.
  2. Fluency in English, German is a plus.
  3. Relevant experience from development of final dosage forms.
  4. Strong scientific skills allowing the drawing of accurate assumptions from limited data to assess the next step in a development program.
  5. An understanding of experiment and validation design and the requirements when documenting protocols for these exercises.
  6. An understanding of the parameters involved in scaling up formulation processes.
  7. Technical/scientific protocol and report writing skills.
  8. Knowledge of DoE (Design of Experiments), QbD (Quality by Design), and quality risk management.
  9. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  10. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  11. Good knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, statistical programs).
