ADM is seeking a Scientist for Product Development Beverage in Heidelberg. You will develop innovative beverage and nutrition solutions, manage projects from concept to market launch, and optimize formulas for taste, function and quality.

You will work with international customers and cross-functional teams, serving as a technical expert on innovations. You will plan lab trials and sensory evaluations, translate findings into actionable recommendations, and contribute to future product concepts

Qualifikationen

• Graduated in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition Science, Food Chemistry, or a comparable field.
• Proven experience in product development, ideally within the beverage industry.
• Passionate about innovation and developing new product concepts.
• Strong understanding of raw materials and their interactions in complex formulations.
• Ability to work independently, with initiative and ownership.
• Excellent communication with customers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• You plan and conduct laboratory trials, sensory evaluations, and analytical assessments, translating findings into actionable recommendations

• You present development progress and project results to internal stakeholders and customers
• You take ownership of projects and ensure their successful execution together with the team
• You contribute to the strategic development of your area of responsibility
• You lead cross-functional initiatives to advance technologies, processes, and ways of working

What Will Make You Successful

• You successfully gratuated in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition Science, Food Chemistry, or a comparable field
• You have proven experience in product development, ideally within the beverage industry
• You are passionate about innovation, emerging trends, and developing new product concepts
• You possess a strong understanding of raw materials, ingredients, and their interactions within complex formulations
• You work independently, in a structured manner, and demonstrate a high level of initiative
• You enjoy taking ownership and proactively driving projects forward
• You have strong analytical skills and a creative approach to solving complex challenges
• You communicate confidently and effectively with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
• You are proficient in common software applications, have a strong affinity for technology, and are comfortable researching and evaluating information
• You think outside the box and naturally embrace agile ways of working
• You have excellent German and English language skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively in an international environment
• You hold a valid European work permit
