Scientist (f/m/x) in Energy Economics
The Job

We are seeking a scientist specializing in energy economics for our Department of Economics. The position is available immediately.

The focus will be on land-use oriented energy economics analyses related to sustainability transformations. Key responsibilities include evaluating renewable energy policies, optimizing emerging energy landscapes, and analyzing carbon dioxide removal (CDR) options and energy-related climate policies. The role involves collecting and systematizing quantitative and qualitative data to develop policy recommendations.

Specific Tasks
  1. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of renewable energy systems and landscapes, including the economics of carbon dioxide removal.
  2. Assess implications of findings for policy development.
  3. Develop and design policy briefs.
  4. Publish results in scientific journals and present at conferences.
