Scientist (f/m/d), PhD position on the development of automated segmentation and analysis of imaging datasets

Part‑time 75%.

Responsibilities
  • Development and application of algorithms for automatic image segmentation
  • Implementation of workflows for big data management and data integration
  • Conduct quantitative image analysis and statistical evaluations
  • Work closely with experimental partners to coordinate analysis and data requirements
  • Dissemination of research results through presentations at internal seminars, workshops and international conferences, with particular emphasis on the publication of papers on the research topic in peer‑reviewed journals

The position offers the opportunity to pursue a part‑time doctoral degree.

Personal qualification
  • A successfully completed Master in computational physics, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge and ideally initial practical experience in quantitative image processing, statistics, and big data management
  • Proficiency in programming languages and software tools
  • Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary manner, particularly with industrial partners and research teams
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills
