Job Description:

Kipu Quantum is a German startup focused on quantum computing, with offices in Karlsruhe and Berlin. We develop quantum algorithms tailored for specific applications and hardware, helping industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, logistics, and finance to solve complex problems using quantum hardware. Our goal is to make practical quantum computing accessible by reducing the time needed to achieve quantum advantage for real-world applications.

In December 2023, Kipu Quantum secured €10.5 million in seed funding, led by HV Capital and DTCF, with participation from Entrada Ventures, Quantonation, and First Momentum Ventures. This funding supports our development of hardware-specific quantum algorithms and accelerates our commercialization efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quantum computing solutions for customer projects across various industries.
• Support project delivery through quantum software development and quantum machine learning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create quantum applications that meet client needs.
• Contribute to the advancement of quantum algorithms and methodologies.
• Utilize classical and quantum programming techniques to solve complex problems.
• Engage in research to enhance quantum computing applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computational Science, or related field, or comparable experience.
• Strong skills in quantum computing, including quantum information science, algorithm design, numerical simulations, tensor networks, error mitigation, or quantum machine learning.
• Experience with quantum programming frameworks like Qiskit or Pennylane and proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of scientific computing, scalable databases, cloud computing, and API development.
• Proven project management experience.
• Startup mindset: hands-on, driven, resilient, adaptable.
• Excellent command of English; German skills are a plus.
