Kipu Quantum is a German startup focused on quantum computing, with offices in Karlsruhe and Berlin. We specialize in developing quantum algorithms tailored for specific applications and hardware. Our solutions help various industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, logistics, and finance, to tackle complex problems using existing quantum hardware. We aim to make practical quantum computing accessible by significantly reducing the time needed to achieve quantum advantage for real-world applications.

In December 2023, Kipu Quantum secured €10.5 million in seed funding, led by HV Capital and DTCF (DeepTech & Climate Fonds), with participation from Entrada Ventures, Quantonation, and First Momentum Ventures. This funding will support the development of our hardware-specific quantum algorithms and accelerate the commercialization of our quantum solutions.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated expert in Quantum Software Engineering or Quantum Machine Learning to deliver innovative quantum computing solutions for our customer projects. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting project delivery by developing advanced quantum software solutions and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create cutting-edge quantum applications that meet our clients' needs.

• Develop and implement quantum computing solutions for customer projects across all industries
• Support project delivery in quantum software development and quantum machine learning
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to drive projects forward
• Contribute to the advancement of quantum computing algorithms and methodologies
• Utilize classical and quantum programming techniques to solve complex computational problems
• Engage in scientific research and development to enhance quantum computing applications
• Completed studies in Physics, Mathematics, Computational Science, or a related field or comparable qualifications
• A robust and diverse skill set in quantum computing, e.g., in quantum information science, quantum algorithm design, numerical simulations, tensor network simulations, error mitigation techniques, or quantum machine learning
• Strong experience with quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit or Pennylane, and proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with scientific computing, scalable database systems, cloud computing, and API development
• Proven experience in project management
