Job Description:
Your role
- Develop and implement plans to promote the EMBL teacher training programme across Member States.
- Support the development of local teacher networks and training programmes.
- Build relationships with educational and research institutions to expand the programme's network.
- Liaising with schools and out-of-school programmes from European countries.
- Utilise social media, email campaigns, webinars, and partnerships to increase programme visibility.
- Assist in managing the teacher training programme, as well as content development and event logistics.
- Organise meetings, maintain databases, and prepare presentations and reports.
Qualifications and requirements
- A degree in communications, public relations, business administration or a related field.
- 1-3 years' experience in outreach or public relations, preferably in education or a related field.
- Proven experience in creating compelling promotional content, including blogs, social media posts and promotional materials.
- Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with educational institutions, organisations and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A service-oriented, friendly nature and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Desirable skills and experience
- Understanding of different cultures and education systems across Europe to tailor outreach efforts accordingly.
- Experience of working with schools and teachers.
- Experience of working in a cultural, academic or international environment.
- An interest in the life sciences.
- Fluency in several European languages may be an advantage.
