Zusammenfassung

U.S. Army Europe and Africa sucht am Standort Ansbach eine/n Schwergeräteinspektor/in. Zu den Aufgaben gehören Inspektion, Reparaturkoordination und Dokumentation der Prüfberichte für schwere Nutzfahrzeuge und Baugeräte.

Sie arbeiten in einem internationalen Umfeld, bringen idealerweise Erfahrung in der Inspektion schwerer Maschinen mit und verfügen über einen Führerschein Klasse B. Eine tarifliche Vergütung und betriebliche Zusatzleistungen werden geboten.

Qualifikationen

• Englische Sprachkenntnisse und Deutschkenntnisse gemäß Anforderungsniveau
• Fachkenntnisse in Inspektion und Wartung von schweren Fahrzeugen
• Gültiger Führerschein Klasse B
• Bereitschaft zu Dienstreisen und Schichtarbeit

Aufgaben

• Durchführung von Vor-, In- und Endinspektionen an schweren LKW, Diesel- und Mehrstofffahrzeugen
• Durchführung von Reparaturen, Kostenschätzung und Dokumentation der Inspektionen
• Sicherstellung Fahrtüchtigkeit und Einhaltung von Regularien
• Planung von Material- und Werkzeugbedarf, Dokumentation von Prüfergebnissen

Hauptaufgaben

Performs initial, in-process, final inspections and carry out repairs on a variety of heavy wheeled diesel, gasoline, electric and/or multi-fuel powered commercial, military and special purpose vehicles/equipment including heavy engineer construction equipment such as cranes, power shovels, road rollers, bulldozers, caterpillars, compressors and generators subject to major repair, rebuild, general overhaul, and modification. Also inspects automotive vehicles such as sedans. Inspects the functioning and interaction of power and motion elements, electrical cooling, and suspension systems, instruments and condition of body and chassis. Diagnoses extent of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and material defects. Determines nature and extent of repair work. Estimates costs for man-hours and material. Classifies vehicles and equipment as to economically repairable or not economically repairable. Completes inspection sheets stating type and extent of repair work. Inspects technical adequacy of completed repair work, makes operational and final road tests. Certifies roadworthiness of vehicle and records results. Prepare and signs inspection sheets and similar documents. Performs mechanical safety inspections of privately owned vehicles (POV) belonging to Soldiers and Department of Army Civilians (DAC) to determine roadworthiness, proper functioning of lights, brakes, steering, condition of tires and vehicle, etc. Informs owner of deficiencies detected and explains repair work required. Re-inspects vehicles that failed initial inspection after repairs and/or corrections have been made. Certifies application sheet and similar documents in order to meet regulatory requirements. Plans and coordinates for the availability of material and equipment required to perform work. Identifies parts required for repair and services. Accounts for material, time and equipment used to accomplished repair. Performs equipment inspection and completes inspection reports. Performs daily checks and inspections on shop equipment in use at BASOPS Maintenance Directorate to ensure safe and serviceable conditions. Solve findings on the spot.
Performs other duties as assigned.

• Die Stelle kann in der Besoldungsgruppe C-4A oder in der vollen Leistungsstufe C-05 besetzt werden. Der Stelleninhaber kann nach Abschluss der erforderlichen Ausbildung und auf Empfehlung des Vorgesetzten ohne Ausschreibung in die nächsthöhere oder volle Leistungsstufe befördert werden.
• Der Stelleninhaber dieser Position ist verpflichtet gelegentlich Dienstreisen durchzuführen.
