Qualifikationen

Jobbeschreibung

Contract : part-time (30h / week) initially fixed-term for 2 years followed by the option of a subsequent employment contract with an infinite duration

The School Nurse works in partnership with the school to create a healthy environment for students and staff and to respond to the needs of individual children providing appropriate health services and demonstrating care and concern for students and staff. The School Nurse is a member of the Student Support Services Department.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage medical emergencies administer medications and supervise the health office.
  • Develop and monitor Health Plans Emergency Plans and IEPs.
  • Provide confidential health advice to students and collaborate with parents on care decisions.
  • Organize annual flu shots and manage the register of students with medical conditions.
  • Assist with external medical services and complete accident reports.
  • Participate in Student Support Services and relevant school meetings.
  • Coordinate communicable disease control and advise on infectious disease management.

Your profile

  • A degree as officially qualified medical nurse preferably as a paediatric nurse
  • Strong empathy for small and large patients
  • Experience in handling emergencies is desirable
  • Educational experience is desirable
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as the use of IT and new technologies
  • High competency in English and German
  • Experience of working in an internationally-minded and diverse working environment is preferred
