As an Area Manager, you will oversee your site to ensure smooth operations, meet customer demand, and lead a team dedicated to safety, efficiency, and high quality. You will also manage various projects across our network to drive productivity.

• Create, oversee, and promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
• Analyze and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity
• Manage projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance service quality within your area
• Evaluate shift performance against business objectives and implement improvement actions
• Collaborate with management colleagues to standardize shift practices

A day in the life

You will work night shifts at one of our sites, focusing on productivity, safety, and quality standards. Your role includes overseeing process improvements, managing the team, and handling operational contingency tasks. You will serve as a role model and mentor to new managers.

About the team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) handles heavy items like furniture and appliances, managing supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns. The team offers extra customer care, including unpacking, assembly, installation, and old item removal. We focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, with plans to expand our specialized centers across the UK and Europe. The team comprises operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and project management professionals, all vital to our growth.

GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN

• A degree
• Relevant experience in people management
• Experience communicating with stakeholders across levels
• Experience using data or anecdotal evidence for decision-making
• Proficiency in English and local language (verbal and written)
