Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or an equivalent
  • Experience in implementing and sustaining a leading-edge Real-Rime Dispatching and Production Scheduling Systems within a semiconductor manufacturing environment is mandatory
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience with industry-leading scheduling-dispatching solutions used in Wafer Fabs and Foundries
  • Strong understanding of 200mm and 300mm wafer fabrication processes, particularly in planning, scheduling, dispatching, and materials management
  • Experience in project management capabilities, including scope definition, timeline control, risk management, and issue resolution
  • Familiarity with key CIM components that support effective scheduling and dispatching, such as MES, EI, SPC, and Resource & Labor Management are highly desired
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to influence, plan, accomplish goals in relation to the dispatching and scheduling implementation
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as VB.NET, C#.NET, web services, SOAP, and XML.
  • Experience with database systems such as Oracle, MS SQL, and PL/SQL is plus
  • A highly inquisitive, detail-oriented, and creative individual with a strong ability to innovate, drive results independently, and collaborate effectively as a team player
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English, and the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels

The Role

Black Semiconductor GmbH is looking for an experienced Scheduling & DispatchingEngineer– Semiconductor Manufacturing (f/m/d) to join our growing team in Aachen. In this key role, you will lead the implementation of real-time dispatching and production scheduling systems for our advanced 300mm Wafer Fabrication facility. You’ll work closely with MES integration, operations, and industrial engineering teams to boost production efficiency, enhance OEE, and drive factory readiness for cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing

To join our team, you should be excited to
  • Champion and lead the introduction and implementation of real-time dispatching and production scheduling concepts for our new 300mm Wafer Fabrication plant
  • Drive the integration of MES systems with the planning and control system within the overall system landscape
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are prepared to adopt and comply with defined scheduling and dispatching standards
  • Act as the key expert supporting Operations and Industrial Engineering teams in leveraging scheduling and dispatching systems to improve flow factor, on-time delivery, and OEE
  • Author design and/or functional specifications for new or existing CIM/MES modules, and collaborate with developers to implement system capabilities
  • Design test cases/scenarios to perform black-box testing for newly developed applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues during and after implementation
  • Provide second-level support for scheduling and dispatching-related issues
  • Lead and train 24/7 shift technicians on best practices and optimize the support structure
  • Conduct regular user training sessions for engineering, operations, and production personnel
