Jobbeschreibung

Under general supervision, this position sets up, packs up, configures, operates, and maintains Satellite Terminals (fixed and tactical) along with associated assemblies. It also provides technical assistance and training to users for the program.

Responsibilities:

1. Installs equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
2. Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams; repairs equipment using knowledge of electronics and standard test instruments and hand tools.
3. Communicates with customers, co-workers, or supervisors regarding equipment configuration and provides operational instructions.
4. Collaborates with unit co-workers to troubleshoot and resolve system operation and maintenance issues.
5. May advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and potential improvements.
6. Assists in preparing reports, correspondence, or technical studies.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
8. Must have an active Secret US Government clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain this clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance is also required.
9. Must achieve and maintain Germany Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA), which requires a bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree/certification with 7 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 11 years of experience, supplemented by ongoing training or certifications.
10. Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in SATCOM maintenance, with at least 1 year in a DoD operational C4ISR program preferred.
11. Basic knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting skills.
12. Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and voltmeters.
13. Knowledge of the Air Force Supply System and IMDS is preferred.
14. Possession of Comp TIA Security+ Certification.
15. Training in DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II information assurance.
16. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications for installation and troubleshooting.
17. Effective verbal and written communication skills to demonstrate technical knowledge.
18. Must possess a current state-issued driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working in a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) environment.
2. Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
