Location: Berlin, Germany (On‑site)

Salary: Up to €120 + Equity (VSOP)

We’re partnering with a fast‑moving, VC‑backed startup in Berlin pioneering AI‑powered remote sensing. They build radar systems that can literally see through everything: soil, structures, and more, for critical government and industrial applications.

This is a hands‑on role in a small, founder‑led team, where your work will directly shape the product, technology, and company.

The Role

As a SAR + AI Engineer, you will:

• Turn raw radar data (Level‑0) into actionable AI insights
• Build production‑ready pipelines and deployable systems (airborne, UAV, satellite)
• Collect, calibrate, and test radar data for optimal performance
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and algorithm teams
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from prototype to deployment

Must‑Haves

• Hands‑on SAR systems experience across the full pipeline
• Level‑0 SAR signal processing expertise
• Strong programming (Python, C++, CUDA; GPU acceleration a plus)
• Solid RF, radar hardware, and signal processing knowledge
• Experience with motion compensation, calibration, and data correction
• Ability to turn complex algorithms into deployable field‑ready software
• NATO passport holder
• Willingness to relocate to Berlin and work full‑time on‑site
• Problem‑solving mindset and hands‑on, startup attitude

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Defense, government, or mission‑critical radar experience
• Airborne or space‑based SAR experience
• Through‑material / ground‑penetrating radar familiarity
• Field testing, flight campaigns, or data collection experience
