Overview
A SAP Solution Manager Expert is a specialized IT professional responsible for managing and optimizing the SAP Solution Manager environment. This role involves ensuring the effective use of SAP Solution Manager to streamline operations, manage IT services, and support project and application lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage SAP Solution Manager: Oversee the configuration, customization, and daily management of the SAP Solution Manager environment, including Focused Build, ChaRM, Solution Documentation, Test Suite, and IT Service Management.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide functional and technical support and troubleshoot issues within the SAP Solution Manager (and add-ons like CCM, BPCA, etc.) environment, ensuring its stability, security, and performance. Perform regular system health checks, upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to team members on SAP Solution Manager functionalities and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly enhance SAP processes and systems, staying updated with the latest SAP Solution Manager technologies and features.
- Governance: Ensure proper control of SolMan ChaRM through stakeholder alignment, including connected systems, AMS team, rollout managers, developers, testers, and key users.
- Technical Change Management: Collaborate on change management objectives, support AMS Service Manager with Release Management, and communicate expectations and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 5 years in IT/technology roles, with a minimum of 3 years working specifically with SAP Solution Manager.
- SAP Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP Solution Manager functionalities such as ChaRM, ITSM, and Test Suite. SAP Basis experience is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities for managing complex systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and training.
- Languages: Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Living and Working Experience: Residing in Europe and experience working within a European-based company.
