Job summary

EPAM Systems in Germany is seeking a Senior ABAP Developer to design, develop and maintain ABAP-based functionality, with the option to work remotely from anywhere in Germany and regular visits to the client site for collaboration.

The role covers ABAP Objects, ABAP CDS and OData, plus AI-driven automation features, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality SAP solutions while working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of ABAP programming experience incl ABAP Objects, ABAP CDS and OData.
• Strong understanding of applying AI to boost productivity.
• Ability to learn quickly and deliver outcomes in uncertain and complex environments.
• Fluency in German; good command of English.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking for a Senior ABAP Developer to join our team in Germany. This role offers a flexible working arrangement with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in Germany, combined with regular visits to the client site to support collaboration and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ABAP-based functionality in PPMS
• Implement AI-driven components, such as MCP Servers and AI-supported automation features
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a primary focus on ABAP development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project success

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ABAP programming, including ABAP Objects, ABAP CDS and oData
• Strong understanding and experience applying AI to boost productivity
• Ability to learn quickly and deliver outcomes in uncertain and complex environments
• Fluency in German
• Good command of English

Nice to have

• Experience in advanced AI implementations or automation frameworks
• Familiarity with performance optimization in SAP environments
