Zusammenfassung

SAP is hiring an intermediate level SAP S/4HANA (Basis) Engineer to manage daily cloud operations for our Sovereign Cloud offering in Germany. You will work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle, analysing, designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining system components with strong SAP knowledge and on-call duties.

• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties and shifts.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and testing is a plus.

SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

Your future role

We are looking for an intermediate level SAP S/4HANA (Basis) Engineer who will manage the daily cloud operations of our Sovereign Cloud offering. You will work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications. You have strong technical knowledge of SAP systems and databases. Additional responsibilities include managing periodic maintenance activities, refreshes, patching, and upgrades.

• Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimize SAP S/4HANA systems for SAP Sovereign Cloud in Germany.
• Setup of a multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
• Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
• Continuous improvement of implementation documentation
• Partner with engineering team to design and enhance the cloud operation processes

What You Will Bring

• Between 1 and 3 years of SAP experience, with at least 1 year of hands‑on exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
• At least 1 year of practical experience in the implementation, upgrade, or support of SAP S/4HANA systems.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate field.
• Some exposure to or involvement in disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing.
• A problem‑solving mindset with foundational skills in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Practical experience with SAP systems running on Windows/Linux OS and HANA environments.
• A willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on‑call duties and flexibility to work in shifts, ensuring consistent coverage and support. The role includes an attractive remuneration package for shift work and on‑call duties.
