Job Description

The LUCA program aims to upgrade METRO’s Finance to SAP S/4HANA to ensure business continuity and mitigate security and compliance risks. This program supports METRO’s strategy for standardization, harmonization, and centralization.

The SAP Finance Solution Architect plays a critical role within LUCA, focusing on the technical implementation and support of SAP finance solutions to optimize financial processes. Responsibilities include reviewing business requirements, designing standard solutions, and coordinating project delivery in service management and rollouts. A deep understanding of SAP finance modules such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Vendor Invoice Management, and Sales and Distribution, along with hands-on experience, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Translating Business Needs into Technical Solutions: Collaborate with finance stakeholders, process leads, and IT teams to understand requirements and develop feasible technical designs.
• Technical Leadership and Guidance: Provide expert leadership during service management and project rollouts, analyze complex changes, troubleshoot issues, and mentor teams.
• Ensuring Solution Integrity and Compliance: Oversee solution design to ensure alignment with METRO’s global template, enterprise architecture, SAP best practices, and compliance standards.
• Stakeholder Management and Communication: Clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences, including executives, business users, and technical teams.
• Monitor SI Delivery Performance: Review and approve transports, documentation, and other deliverables to ensure adherence to METRO’s standards and expectations.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or related, with solid knowledge of Financial Accounting and Indirect Procurement.
• Professional SAP Expertise: Minimum 10 years in P2P and O2C processes, with experience in SAP AP, SAP AR, VIM, and SAP SD. Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform is advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with various organizational levels and external partners.
• Certifications: SAP finance-related certifications are a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in retail industry preferred.
• Languages: Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
