Job summary

T-Systems International GmbH in Germany is seeking an SAP Development Lead for the Public Sector to steer SAP S/4HANA development, PSM, ABAP OO, and modern UI/UX with SAPUI5.

You will shape architectural direction, guide delivery teams, manage stakeholders, and champion Agile/DevOps practices across projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years as an SAP consultant/developer in the DACH market and fluent German and English, with experience in SAP BTP and modern web technologies.

About the Position

As SAP Development Lead Public Sector (m/f/d/x), you will take on a key role in shaping the digital future of our public sector clients. This senior-level position focuses on technical leadership and architectural excellence within the SAP landscape. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative SAP solutions, particularly in the areas of SAP S/4HANA development and SAP Public Sector Management (PSM), leveraging modern technologies such as SAP Fiori/SAPUI5 and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Your expertise in ABAP OO development, combined with knowledge of the SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF) and a strong understanding of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and DevOps concepts, will be essential in technically guiding development teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. You will drive the architecture of SAP solutions, actively contribute to project management activities, and maintain effective stakeholder management to align the technical vision with business requirements.

We are looking for an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of digitalization trends and a passion for modern software development, cloud solutions, and web technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, and Node.js), who can enrich our projects with technical leadership and an innovative mindset.

Your Qualifications

In addition to a completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, you bring at least 7 years of experience as an SAP consultant and/or SAP developer, as well as at least 5 years of experience within industry environments (particularly public sector, defense, healthcare, or manufacturing SMEs) in the German-speaking DACH market. Your Additional Skills

• Extensive experience in SAP S/4HANA development and ABAP OO
• Expertise in SAP Public Sector Management (PSM) and SAP solution architecture
• Practical experience with SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 and the SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF)
• Familiarity with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
• Proven experience in the professional leadership of projects
• Business-fluent German and English language skills (C1 level)
