InCycling GmbH is seeking a SAP-focused developer to take over and grow the SAP Add-on for S/4HANA, SAPUI5/Fiori frontend, and ABAP RAP services. You will work on backend integrations and customer deployments, collaborating with SAP teams and our platform backend group.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, on-site collaboration, and ongoing enhancements to support scale and regulatory workflows within a BTP/AWS integrated environment.

About InCycling

Every year €26 billion worth of perfectly usable chemical raw materials are getting destroyed, generating millions of tonnes of avoidable CO₂ emissions and hazardous waste, not because they lack value, but because no system exists to capture it. InCycling is changing that. We are building a cloud-native AI-driven B2B platform with deep SAP integration, automated regulatory compliance workflows, and ML-based supply‑vs‑demand matching for scalable surplus chemical management. We are live with a couple of global DAX‑tier enterprise pilot across 10+ production sites in 10+ countries and 3 continents with over 600 tonnes of surplus chemicals already in our deal pipeline. You would be joining at the moment where the foundation you build will define how the platform scales.

Tasks

The role

InCycling helps pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturers trade their surplus materials instead of disposing of them. The InCycling SAP Add‑on is what makes that work inside a customer's own S/4HANA system: it surfaces slow‑moving and surplus batches, supports quality and compliance assessment, and moves material through its selling, shipping and billing lifecycle — all synchronized with our platform via BTP and AWS middleware. The add‑on is currently built with an external implementation partner and will be handed over to us; this role takes on its technical health and growth from there. As more manufacturers come on board, each brings their own SAP landscape and processes, so the work spans steady maintenance, customer‑specific extension, on‑site setup, and close collaboration with both our platform backend team and the customers' SAP teams.

What you’ll do

• Take over the add‑on after handover from the implementation partner and grow into full technical ownership
• Maintain and extend the add‑on’s freestyle Fiori app (SAPUI5) — filter panels, multi‑select tables, Flexible Column Layout, object pages and platform embedding
• Extend the underlying ABAP RAP services (CDS entities, behavior definitions/implementations) and the OData V4 services the app consumes
• Work across the S/4HANA backend: custom tables, batch/material status logic and the status‑transition rules that govern it
• Support the BTP integration flows that exchange batch and material data with our platform via the AWS middleware
• Set up and deploy the add‑on in customer systems, working alongside each customer's SAP team
• Provide technical support to customers — troubleshooting, debugging, resolving integration issues
• Implement customer‑specific configurations and adaptations
• Track work in Jira and document solutions and technical decisions in Confluence
• Collaborate with the platform backend team on API contract changes and improvements

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• 1+ years working with SAP development
• Hands‑on SAPUI5 / freestyle Fiori development (JavaScript, XML views, OData V4 consumption) — comfortable extending an existing app, not only generating one from a template
• ABAP knowledge, with willingness to deepen RAP (CDS views, behavior definitions) and integration patterns
• Familiarity with S/4HANA architecture
• Customer‑oriented mindset for technical support and on‑site collaboration
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with MM, SD or QM modules
• Exposure to SAP BTP and integration/eventing
• Experience with add‑on delivery / transport management (e.g. SAP Add‑on Assembly Kit)
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot (our platform side)
