SAP 132/66kV

Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced 132kV SAP (or 66kV AP) to support a major offshore wind service campaign. Candidates with valid 8VM1 training and offshore commissioning experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce and manage electrical safety rules on site
• Support high-voltage commissioning of turbines, substations, and HV/MV/LV infrastructure
• Take full electrical operational responsibility for assigned offshore substations
• Coordinate outages and commissioning activities in collaboration with other teams
• Prepare switching schedules and review method statements
• Mentor junior team members and participate in FAT/SAT inspections
• Maintain accurate documentation and update schematics
• Participate in work rotations both offshore and onshore

Job requirements

Requirements:

• Valid 8VM1 training (refresher available in May 2025 if expired)
• Previous SAP/AP authorisation in the wind industry preferred
• GWO and HUET training (preferred)
• Fit for offshore work (medical clearance required)
• Experience with offshore wind turbines and substations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Must bring personal iPhone (security software installation required)
• Willingness to travel offshore regularly and work in challenging environments

Nice to have:

• Previous experience working under Electrical Safety Rules specific to large developers
• Fluency in coordinating with grid operators and commissioning managers
