Description

AssistRx is seeking a Salesforce Lead, Release & Environment Manager to oversee deployment operations, environment strategy, and standardization efforts across our complex, multi-org Salesforce ecosystem. While this is not a coding role, success requires deep knowledge of Salesforce metadata, release processes, and development lifecycle practices.

This role serves as the key liaison between development, QA, and operations—ideal for a systems-oriented professional who excels at coordinating across technical teams to ensure seamless, secure, and high-quality Salesforce releases.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and execute Salesforce deployments using tools like Gearset, Change Sets, and SFDX.
  • Oversee environment pipelines from development through production, ensuring coordination across projects and teams.
  • Identify and remediate metadata inconsistencies between Salesforce orgs.
  • Collaborate with Dev, QA, and DevOps to maintain clean, reliable environments.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce release management documentation and SOPs.
  • Monitor Salesforce seasonal releases and assess impacts on org configurations.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise change management and release governance.
  • Communicate deployment schedules, risks, and readiness to stakeholders.
  • Promote best practices for org hygiene, metadata control, and version management.


Requirements
  • 3+ years supporting Salesforce development teams in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, Apex, Lightning, and declarative tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Gearset, Change Sets, and SFDX.
  • Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams and complex release timelines.
  • Ability to assess Salesforce code/config changes for risk and impact.
    • Preferred:
      • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or other version control systems.
      • Background managing multi-org Salesforce environments.
      • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps best practices.
      • Exposure to regulated industries or healthcare is a plus.
    • Key Attributes:
      • Highly collaborative, process-oriented, and driven by quality and consistency.
      • Strong communicator who can translate technical change into clear operational planning.
      • Comfortable in a non-coding technical leadership role.
      • Able to proactively identify risks and lead discussions around mitigation and improvement.
