Securities Services (SeS) is a key pillar of the Corporate Bank’s Institutional Clients Services franchise, providing custody, clearing, and fund services solutions to financial institutions and corporates globally.
SeS’ Continental Europe Sales team is responsible for identifying new opportunities within existing clients and originating new business from prospects. The sales individual will be responsible for business origination in selected markets in Continental Europe, with a focus on expanding SeS business within Western European names.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Sales for Securities Services in Continental Europe and will be based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Your key responsibilities
- Identify, formulate, and own specific go-to-market sales campaigns for assigned clients in Western Europe.
- Grow Securities Services revenue across a portfolio of existing clients and targets.
- Collaborate with the broader Securities Services team globally, other Corporate Bank divisions, and Deutsche Bank units to identify cross-sell opportunities and meet revenue targets.
- Represent Securities Services at client forums, conferences, and roadshows.
- Manage Salesforce CRM to structure sales campaigns, maintain a reliable sales pipeline, and assist in client proposals and presentations.
- Develop clear account plans for clients and prepare briefing memos as needed, ensuring timely and transparent documentation of sales activities.
Your skills and experiences
- Proven sales ownership and origination experience, with relevant product knowledge in Post-Trade.
- Successful track record in developing and executing origination strategies and managing client interactions in CRM systems.
- Experience working with Financial Institutions; existing contacts in Western Europe are highly advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders through clear writing and presentations.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to prioritize and influence in a global organization.
