The Sales Representative for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for growing the microbiology business in the assigned territory.

This position is part of Beckman Coulter Microbiology located in Sacramento (California) and will be fully remote, based in the sales region. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the MicroScan Team and report to the Sales Manager Microbiology Germany responsible for Sales and Application Teams. If you thrive in an amazing role and want to work to build a world-class sales organization—read on.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and qualify Microbiology prospects and assess customer needs, interests, and qualifications in the Identification / antimicrobial susceptibility testing (ID/AST) and Lab Automation fields in the Region: Köln, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Essen, Frankfurt am Main.
  2. Develop and maintain an accurate weekly forecast of sales projects, substantiated by documentation and planned follow-up actions.
  3. Continuously develop knowledge of products, market and industry trends, competition, and customer strategies for potential development.
  4. Drive the sales strategy and implement strategic closing plans to meet sales objectives.
  5. Be the primary contact for customers within the area, handling issues professionally and expeditiously.
  6. Collaborate with marketing to resolve customer conflicts, developing strategies to improve satisfaction.
  7. Ideal Location: Köln, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Essen, Frankfurt am Main

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Science, preferably Biology or as a Medizinisch Technische Assistent*In (MTA).
  2. Several years of experience in a sales role focusing on Medical Devices, Business Development, or Capital Equipment.
  3. Experience in direct selling within Microbiology, with expertise in Microbiology/Bacterial Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing, with a proven track record of sales success.
  4. Understanding of the German healthcare system and IVD testing in hospital and private sectors.
  5. Proficiency in business management tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
  6. Valid driver’s license.
  7. Language skills: German and English at a professional level.
