About the Role

The successful candidate will manage relationships with specialists and healthcare professionals in private practice and hospitals, including users, opinion leaders, decision-makers, stakeholders, and specialists involved with rheumatology products in the assigned region. This role involves close collaboration with colleagues from Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Brand Relationship Management (BRM), and regional leadership. The goal is to expand the use of rheumatology products and strengthen the understanding of related diseases in the market.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build trusted, sustainable relationships with healthcare providers, opinion leaders, decision-makers, and process owners in private practices and clinical centers; maintain intensive contact.
  • Create and implement local business plans aligned with national marketing strategies.
  • Select and determine visit frequencies for contacts in the territory in coordination with regional management.
  • Manage territory and contacts efficiently, plan effective routes.
  • Utilize event budgets effectively for organizing local and digital training sessions.
  • Use working hours flexibly and purposefully.
  • Implement product strategies and marketing concepts within the assigned territory.
  • Expand market position and differentiate from competitors.
  • Represent Sanofi at regional and national events and congresses.
  • Provide comprehensive product information and focus on key discussion points with target groups.
  • Complete reporting requirements punctually.
  • Gather and relay market and competitor insights.
  • Support team collaboration within the regional sales team.
Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

  • Qualified pharmaceutical representative according to § 75 AMG or relevant scientific university degree preferred.
  • Experience in rheumatology within field sales to specialists.
  • Proven sales success in external sales roles.
  • Relevant experience in pharmaceutical practice and hospital sales, especially with specialist care.
  • Good understanding of the German healthcare system.

Social Skills / Technical Abilities

  • Strong team player with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Entrepreneurial, innovative, and positive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong rhetorical abilities.

  • Proficient with iPad and digital communication tools (CRM, web conferencing, Yammer, Zoom, approved emails, digital presentations).

  • Good command of Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to recognize digital opportunities and utilize multi-channel approaches according to customer needs.

Languages

  • Fluent German & good English skills for literature review and communication.
