Abbott in Germany, Cologne, is seeking a Sales Operations & Support Specialist (m/f/d) to provide operational and commercial support to the sales organization and customers, enabling the field team to focus on strategic sales activities.

The role requires basic commercial training (Bachelor’s preferred), experience with CRM systems, SAP, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills; fluent German and English are essential. This position is based at our Cologne site.

• Prepare, coordinate, and submit commercial quotations and contract documents.
• Coordinate vendor management activities and processing of purchase orders.
• Identify and implement process improvements in sales operations.
• Support SAP Warehouse & Inventory Transactions for Instruments.
• Update of new and existing customers/database.
• Provide detailed reports, statistics and analysis to the Sales Team & Country Manager.

The Position

The position of Sales Operations & Support Specialist (m/f/d) is within our Cardiometabolic Business Unit located at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Germany GmbH in Cologne. In the role you will provide operational and commercial support to the sales organization and customers, enabling the field sales team to focus on strategic sales activities and customer development.

Your Tasks :

• Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of applicable Quality Processes as per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
• Responsible for preparation, coordination, and submission of commercial quotations and contract documentation in alignment with internal stakeholders.
• Coordination of vendor management activities and processing of purchase orders in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Process improvements: Identify and implement ways to improve processes within sales operations and administrative workflows.
• Supports SAP Warehouse & Inventory Transactions for Instruments.
• Update of new and existing customers /database.
• Supporting the Sales Team & Country Manager through detailed reports, statistics and analysis.

Your Qualification:

• Basic commercial training degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Work experience in Medical Devices / diagnostics or similar environment.
• Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Understanding of data governance and reporting processes.
• Ideally experience delivering change initiatives and facilitating change in a customer focused organization.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
