Are you an energetic and customer-oriented Sales Manager who wants to move Valmet’s customers’ performance forward?

We are looking for a Sales Manager to become a member of an experienced team in our Environmental Systems organization. Valmet’s Pulp and Energy business line is the world’s leading supplier of environmentally friendly biomass and multi-fuel energy solutions. Our main products in Environmental Systems include flue gas treatment processes for various industries.

You can work at any Valmet location in Germany and work can also be done remotely.

Duties and areas of responsibility:

As a Sales Manager you will be in charge of developing, managing and leading capital sales projects mainly in Europe for flue gas treatment with focus on Woodpanel and Mineral Wool industries. You will be working closely with our customers and stakeholders making use of Valmet’s strong customer network and Valmet area sales in EMEA.

By identifying customer needs, you will lead the proposal team and find winning solutions by combining Valmet technologies and value-add services. Your networking, influencing and negotiation skills will allow you to easily interact in the matrix structure. You will oversee leading technical and commercial negotiations with support from Valmet technical experts located in Finland and ensure customer satisfaction with viable contractual terms and conditions in a highly competitive business environment.

You will also be responsible for creating new business opportunities in a proactive and customer-oriented way. Therefore, you should be able to build relationships and trust. An important part of your work will be customer care and flue gas treatment related marketing activities which enhance Valmet’s brand as a supplier.

What we expect from you:

  1. Applicable education: M.Sc. (Eng.), B.Sc. (Eng.), B.B.A. or equivalent
  2. Understanding of Woodpanel and Mineral Wool industry, Energy industry as advantage
  3. Knowledge of flue gas treatment, wet electrostatic precipitator and industry processes
  4. Experience in technology-based project sales and/or execution
  5. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiations skills
  6. Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions
  7. High level of commitment and proactive approach
  8. Fluent in English and German, both written and oral, other languages are an asset
  9. Willingness to travel
