Objective of the Role

Drive revenue growth by selling ResearchGate Marketing solutions, from cold calling to closing deals and campaign activation.

The team

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will join a successful, collaborative, and international team that connects researchers with tools to accelerate their vital work.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive revenue growth by selling ResearchGate Marketing solutions, from cold calling to closing to smooth campaign activation.
  2. Consult and educate clients, identifying their advertising goals and proposing suitable RG solutions.
  3. Retain customers by selling additional campaigns during and after initial activation where required.
  4. Negotiate contracts, including scope of work and timelines.
  5. Prospect, network, build trust with clients, expand relationships, and generate new business through Account Development Plans.
  6. Support RG Account Managers in managing relationships with operational contacts (Ad-Operations) and own relationships with customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
  7. Collaborate with the Account Manager across teams to ensure the best outcomes for the customer’s RG advertising.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  2. Strong sales skills, including discovery, active listening, negotiation, and closing.
  3. Ability to manage multiple accounts and seek new opportunities.
  4. Experience prospecting new clients using sales tools like Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar.
  5. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  6. Curiosity about customers, science, and technology.
  7. Experience selling digital marketing solutions to enterprise life science companies is preferred.
