About the role

We are looking for a hotel professional with experience in Opera PMS or similar PMS and POS systems. Ideally, you have worked in front office, front desk, night auditor, or food and beverage hotel roles, and you have experience or an interest in sales.

You will join our growing global sales team, presenting the HRS portfolio of products to hospitality-related companies across a designated area of Germany. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, goal-driven, and passionate about digital transformation within the hospitality industry through innovative technologies and software.

Requirements

  • Experience working in the hotel industry, ideally in a rooms division or sales & marketing role. Experience in Hospitality IT or prior roles selling technology to hotels is also considered.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS, Micros POS, or comparable systems. Understanding of hospitality spa & loyalty technology is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to sell and close business using a consultative approach at all organizational levels.
  • Outgoing, social, and comfortable communicating with employees, customers, and partners across different countries and levels.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and results-oriented.
  • Proactive with a positive attitude.
  • Customer-focused, with a mindset geared towards representing the voice of the customer internally.
  • Genuine interest in new technologies and innovation in hospitality.
  • Proficient in spoken and written German and professional English.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting market research to identify sales opportunities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and participating in exhibitions, events, and social media.
  • Setting up online and in-person meetings with potential clients, demonstrating our products, and consulting based on their needs.
  • Providing HRS with research and analysis of local competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Achieving sales targets set by the company.
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers and partners.
  • Organizing sales and marketing events for customers.
  • Representing HRS and its interests when interacting with customers.
