Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of sales business plan.
- Manage and lead the development of all pillars of distribution within their assigned territory to meet their goals and objectives.
- Prospect new distribution across all pillars of distribution to optimize the district's performance as well as balance out the portfolio’s market penetration.
- Identify deficiencies in distribution, create plans and market campaigns to address those deficiencies efficiently using all available resources.
- Participate in local and national trade shows.
- Develop a working knowledge of the competition and their sales strategies.
- Provide financial guidance to support our distribution partners in their markets.
- Develop equipment quotes and financial programs offered.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain programs such as pricing, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, and customer incentive/rebate programs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering on product development and enhancements (Voice of Customer).
- Maintain current knowledge of all Wacker Neuson product lines through training and classes.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, implementing corrective actions, and communicating effectively.
Safety:
- Perform all functions safely, maintaining safety awareness on equipment and within the fleet.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe practices or conditions promptly.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone; frequent sitting, talking, hearing; occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lift up to 20 lbs.; operate motor vehicles; travel up to 75%.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales Management, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours, including weekends for trade shows and events.
- Knowledge of Wacker Neuson equipment and markets preferred.
- Understanding of competitive equipment and market tactics.
- Strong business acumen related to distribution, rental, and end-user markets in construction.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%.
