suena energy is a green tech startup specializing in optimization and algorithmic power trading for Battery Storage Systems and Renewable Energies. The focus lies on maximizing returns and reducing risks on short-term electricity and balancing markets through our AI-based optimization and trading software - the energy trading autopilot.
Purpose of the role
Drive Growth and Sales Excellence at suena! As a member of our Sales Team, you will own, run, and develop our sales activities, boosting our strong business growth in battery trading and direct marketing of renewables. Being the owner of customer engagement and acquisition strategies, you’ll be the voice and face of suena for prospect clients. This role gives you the focus and autonomy to manage all aspects of our sales processes, ensuring you can fully dedicate your efforts to advancing our growth goals without distractions from other tasks.
This is what you’ll be mastering:
- Hit sales objectives: drive sales process, meet sales targets, while keeping customer satisfaction at a high level.
- Grow customer base: target new clients, manage leads, converting prospects into customers by delivering compelling presentations.
- Own full sales cycle: run contract negotiations, involve other stakeholders efficiently, drive a clear sales process, and adapt new adjustments to ensure consistent results.
- Build strong and long-lasting relationships: actively listen, identify needs quickly, and build rapport efficiently.
- Enhance CRM: explore and analyze our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to optimize processes.
- Increase visibility: represent suena at various fairs and conferences.
- Stay up-to-date: build networks in the industry and monitor market updates to stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities.
- Approach sales process strategically: develop long-term objectives to stay competitive and translate emerging industry tendencies into business opportunities.
- Keep customer focus at all times: actively network and maintain relationships to create opportunities and establish goals.
You for sure have:
- Industry expertise: at least 2 years of sales/business development experience in the energy industry (preferably renewable), with a proven record of growing customer bases.
- Efficient communication and closing skills: you know how to close sales quickly and negotiate constructively.
- CRM experience: you know how to update all sales processes effectively in CRM (ideally, Hubspot).
- Language proficiency: fluent in German and excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
- Technical knowledge: solid understanding of the renewable energy market and technologies used.
It’s great if you have:
- Financial competence: ability to perform financial analysis and make sales decisions based on that.
- Extensive industry knowledge: in-depth understanding of the battery and renewable energy market.
- Scaling experience: knowledge of running sales processes while establishing yourself in a new market.
- Self-managed profile: ability to initiate change, cooperate with others, and balance independent analysis with teamwork.
- Other European language skills are a plus.
