Sales Manager, Digital Patient Care Solutions, Europe

Job Description Summary

We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Sales Manager for Europe for our Digital Patient Care Solutions portfolio, covering GE HealthCare’s Clinical Information solutions and services for the acute care domain (intensive and anesthesia care units). This role is pivotal in driving new business development, implementing strategic sales plans, and positioning GE HealthCare as the partner of choice to achieve growth across Europe.

Within Patient Care Solutions we develop digital and technology solutions that help sustain life and support patient care in every setting throughout the hospital environment. Our teams provide clinicians and frontline caregivers with a broad portfolio of life-changing medical solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Growth acceleration: Design and implement sales strategies & plan to drive profitable growth and gain share for the business. Accelerate IB conversion and upsell in legacy markets, and net new business in growth markets.
  • Sales Management: Manage a direct team of specialized sales professionals across Europe (10+ FTEs). Lead the sales activities and drive commercial excellence through training & development, coaching, as well as KPI tracking and daily management.
  • Financial objectives: Attain financial and operating objectives, including orders, revenue, and gross margin.
  • Market positioning: Drive early engagement on governmental & enterprise projects to position GE HealthCare as the partner of choice. Design and innovate appealing solution offerings in cross-functional teams to increase customer value and to differentiate and win.
  • Horizontal collaboration: Drive horizontal collaboration internally to maximize commercial strength and growth opportunities. Ensure seamless teamwork between the sales, project delivery and service teams to provide total customer satisfaction through solution lifecycle.
  • Market visibility: Improve early market visibility and funnel development to ensure solid business outlook on short, mid and long term. Drive systematic win-loss analysis to increase win-rate and share gain.
  • Market trends: Follow closely industry trends and emerging customer needs/challenges. Recommend best practices and improvements in solutions and services, and evaluate the value of new commercial concepts and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Healthcare technology/IT, or related field.
  • Extensive professional experience of strategic solution selling in the healthcare IT domain, preferably in an international environment. Minimum 5 years of Sales Management experience.
  • Strong business acumen and deep understanding of market drivers and customer expectations in the healthcare IT domain.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement impactful sales strategies and solution proposals.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate an experienced, gross-geography sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal colleagues, as well as external customers, third parties and other stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Europe on a regular basis.
  • Fluent English, both verbal and written.

  • Experience of working for a large company in a matrixed organization and operating with distributed resources to achieve success.
  • Ability to shape & develop high-performing cross-geography teams, drive efficiency and commercial excellence.
  • Proficiency in defining and executing strategies and plans, creating KPIs to measure progress, and working with partner organizations.
  • Demonstrated tendency to challenge the status quo and drive constant improvements and ability to achieve organizational goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Expertise in digital healthcare technologies.
