We are looking for a dynamic, organized, self-starter to join our European Infrastructure Sales Team as a Data Center Sales Manager located in or around Frankfurt, Germany.

What To Expect :

You will execute in-country sales strategy for the Data Center infrastructure business while working in close coordination with in-country and regional field sales and systems engineering teams. Positioning COMMSCOPE building infrastructure solutions into multi-tenant, traditional on-premises, and other large Data Center opportunities in order to secure and grow revenue with defined accounts.

The position requires an understanding of the Data Center ecosystem, technology trends and telecommunications infrastructure requirements. Candidates will need to understand the commercial and technical priorities of Data Center operators, and how to influence the technology choices that they make.

The ideal candidate would be from a technology organization and have a successful track record of selling ICT or building services infrastructure solutions within Data Center environments.

Key Responsibilities and Goals :

  • Ideally based in or around Frankfurt you will work with the regional sales leadership to identify, engage and build a position of influence with a defined list of multi-tenant Data Center operators.
  • Work with the regional sales leadership to identify and build a plan to secure significant major enterprise Data Center opportunities to be agreed as target pursuits.
  • Drive interaction with the whole Data Center ecosystem in the territory. Work to understand and build relationships with key consultants, contractors, integrators, and other vendors. Become a member of the Data Center community.
  • Represent COMMSCOPE at Data Center customer forums and events. Be an active contributor to social media platforms with presence in Data Center specific groups.
  • Collaborate with other COMMSCOPE groups working in the Data Center space, including the global scale Data Center team and market management groups.
  • Maintain and manage an opportunity funnel along with ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting to regional leadership.

Business Skills and Experience Requirement

  • 5+ years experience in sales, business development or account management within the technology industry.
  • Knowledge of ICT infrastructure and Data Center buying behaviors.
  • Proven ability to close deals with new accounts & increasing wallet share with existing accounts.
  • Proven ability to manage, grow and nurture large accounts. Skilled in planning and communicating plans to ensure successful execution.
  • Ability to create a value proposition based on customer needs and identified gaps.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT, and / or other technologies related to building infrastructures.
