We are seeking a driven and strategic Sales Manager to lead and grow our wholesale business operations in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key wholesale accounts, developing strong relationships with distributors and retailers, and driving sales performance in the office supplies sector. This is a hands-on role for a commercially-minded professional who thrives in B2B environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy for the German wholesale market.
- Manage and grow existing wholesale customer accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and onboard new business opportunities with distributors, resellers, and retail partners.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional campaigns and product launches tailored to the local market.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform pricing and positioning.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to senior management.
- Attend trade shows and client meetings as needed. (travel required within Germany)
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in B2B wholesale sales, ideally in office supplies, FMCG, or a related product category.
- Strong network within the German wholesale or retail distribution landscape.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English. (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel within Germany regularly and to the UK periodically. (all expenses paid)
