Job Description

Sales Manager Animal Nutrition - DACH countries

Location: Germany / Berlin, Hamburg or Heidelberg

Role Overview

ADM is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our animal nutrition business across the DACH region. This key role involves expanding our footprint in a large local market by offering a broad portfolio of products, from Feed Additives and ingredients to Premix. The position is based in Germany and reports to the VP Sales Europe in Switzerland.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Maximize the potential of our animal nutrition business in the DACH region.
  2. Manage technical sales and key accounts.
  3. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  4. Identify and develop new business and partnership opportunities.
  5. Understand our product portfolio.
  6. Create and execute sales plans and budgets based on market strategies.
  7. Develop a 3-5 year business plan for the region.
  8. Provide monthly sales reports, analytics, and insights.
  9. Collaborate with product management, application, and development teams to develop customer concepts.
  10. Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and consumer behaviors through publications, events, and reports.
  11. Support innovative sales and marketing strategies in the region.
  12. Coordinate with technical support, customer service, logistics, product management, marketing, and finance teams.
Candidate Profile
  1. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agriculture, Agro Engineering, Veterinary Science, or Business.
  2. Knowledge of animal nutrition and technical applications.
  3. Minimum 10 years’ experience in B2B food, dairy, or ingredients sectors.
  4. Strong business development skills.
  5. Excellent negotiation skills.
  6. Self-directed with strong organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
  8. Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
  9. Customer service-oriented.
  10. Experience in a matrix organization and cross-cultural settings.
  11. Willingness to travel within the region.
  12. Fluent in English.
