The Company :

Our client is the Chemical trading division of an international conglomerate active in import/export trade and new business development for nearly five decades. The Chemicals division handles chemicals, derivatives, and chemical end products for Europe and Asia. This role is newly created to develop sales and business of polyolefins in the DACH region.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Visit customers regularly and sell our product range, including sales-oriented tasks via telephone contacts
  2. Manage sales, turnover, and contribution margin for the assigned area
  3. Identify and acquire new sales opportunities
  4. Submit offers and negotiate prices with customers on-site
  5. Gather market information and monitor the competitive landscape
  6. Ensure proper and timely order and shipping processing
  7. Support customer acquisition and visits
  8. Handle complaints and sales correspondence
  9. Process complete orders and shipments, including for third countries
  10. Create calculations, statistics, and offers
  11. Provide weekly reports on business activities, sales performance, and market environment
  12. Maintain visit reports and feedback in CRM
  13. Analyze customer, competitor, and market trends and demand in the defined area

Person Profile :

  • University degree in a commercial or technical field with over 3 years of sales experience
  • Experience in polymer trading or distribution in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel; independent, goal-oriented, systematic work approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across cultures
