Based in Germany with remote work and travel across Europe, you will leverage your enterprise software sales experience to close complex, API-driven solutions and shape the market for our insurtech platform.
About Artificial
Help shape the future of specialty insurance
At Artificial, we’re building the next generation of technology for the specialty (re)insurance market. Our mission is to transform how brokers and carriers operate in complex markets by removing operational barriers and enabling smarter, faster decision-making.
We use modern technology to solve real challenges for some of the world's leading brokers and insurers. By automating the repetitive and structuring the complex, we help our partners unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth.
You’ll be joining a collaborative team that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning. We work in an environment where ideas are heard, support is built-in, and outcomes matter. Everyone here has the chance to make a tangible impact on our products, our customers, and the industry.
We've just raised $45M (£33M) in Series B funding from lead investor CommerzVentures, new investor Move Capital, as well as all existing shareholders. This investment round gives us the room to grow with confidence, continue to innovate, and ensure that Artificial remains the first choice for brokers and carriers seeking a smarter way to trade digitally.
Join us, and take the chance to be a part of something that will change the landscape of insurance for generations.
As Sales Manager at Artificial, you'll own new business growth across specialty (re)insurance carriers, MGAs, and brokers in Germany and the broader DACH region. This is a full-cycle sales role: you'll build pipeline, run the sales process end to end, and close deals with senior stakeholders who are rethinking how their underwriting and claims operations run.
Day to day, you'll:
Prospect, qualify, and manage a pipeline of specialty (re)insurance carriers, MGAs, and brokers across Germany/DACH (and, over time, wider Europe)
Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders - Chief Underwriting Officers, Heads of Digital/IT, and other economic buyers
Run the full sales cycle: discovery, demo (partnering with our Pre-Sales Engineer for technical validation), proposal, negotiation, and close
Keep an accurate, disciplined pipeline in the CRM and forecast reliably against quarterly and annual targets
Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to share market feedback and shape go-to-market strategy for the region and beyond
Represent Artificial at industry conferences and broker/carrier events across Europe
A track record of success in B2B SaaS sales, ideally selling into insurance, financial services, or complex enterprise software
Alternatively: UWing/Broking??
Experience selling technical or API-driven products to enterprise buyers, and comfort running a consultative, solution-based sales process
Existing relationships or experience within the European (re)insurance market are a strong plus
Fluent in German and English
Based in Germany, remote, with willingness to travel within Europe as the role requires
A consistent history of meeting or exceeding quota
An entrepreneurial, self-directed approach - comfortable building process rather than just following it, in a fast-moving Series B environment
Collaborative skills with an emphasis on product quality.
Experience in insurtech, insurance or related industries.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience in a distributed work environment.
